About DishCard
DishCard is a free, browser-based tool that turns any dish into a beautiful recipe image — no account, no uploads, no design skills needed.
We built DishCard for a simple reason: food creators spend too much time wrestling with design tools to publish a single recipe. A food blogger needs a consistent, attractive card for every post. A restaurant wants menu cards that look as good as the food. A home cook just wants to share grandma's recipe without it looking like a wall of text.
DishCard solves this with a smart design engine that runs entirely in your browser. Type a dish name and the engine picks a matching color palette, layout, typography and food illustration for you. Upload your own photo and it becomes a professional cover. Then download a crisp HD PNG — no watermark, no signup, unlimited.
What we stand for
Everything runs locally. Your dish name, photo and recipe never leave your device — there is nothing for us to sell or leak.
A single page, no app install, no account. It loads quickly and works on phones, tablets and desktops.
All core features are free and unlimited. A future Pro tier may add power tools, but nothing you use today will be locked away.
The design engine is a deterministic system built into the page — no external API calls, no queues, no cost per generation.
How the smart design engine works
When you type a dish name, the engine analyzes its keywords (in English or Chinese) and matches it to a cuisine category — soup, pasta, dessert, grill, breakfast and more. Each category carries a curated palette, a matching food illustration and label.
The layout engine then arranges title, details, ingredients and steps across five templates and four aspect ratios, with automatic text fitting so nothing ever overflows. Everything is rendered to a high-resolution canvas and exported as PNG.
Because it is all local, the tool works offline once loaded, never throttles you, and never sees your content.

1. Overview
DishCard ("we", "us") provides a free recipe card and food image generator. This policy explains what information our website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Our core principle is simple: the tool runs entirely in your browser, so your recipes, photos and dish names never leave your device.
2. Information we collect
We do not require an account and we do not collect any personal information from you to use the generator. Content you enter (dish names, ingredients, steps, photos) is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us. We do not sell, trade or rent personal information to anyone.
3. Cookies and local storage
We store your language preference in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it on your next visit. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings. Third-party services we may use (such as advertising partners) may place cookies or similar technologies on your device, governed by their own privacy policies.
4. Advertising
We may display ads served by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies by visiting www.aboutads.info.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are used. Any analytics we add will be aggregate and non-personal, and we will update this policy accordingly.
6. Data retention
Because we do not collect personal data or upload your content, there is nothing for us to retain. Your generated cards exist only on your own device.
7. Children's privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Since we do not collect or sell personal information, these rights are automatically respected. To exercise any rights or ask questions, contact us at the email below.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
